Your Highest Self
South of France Yoga Retreat.
September 24th - 29th, 2020
6 days and 5 nights
Open to 10 fellow seekers.
In this week long lush retreat in the gorgeous southwest French countryside of Midi Pyrenees, we’ll experience connection with our higher selves and community, and discover new dimensions of our creativity.
Site, sound, destination to explore, and homemade dishes. Wine and yoga!
Immerse yourself in the French culture while connecting to yourself through thoughtful yoga practice, food, exploration, and wine! Charming medieval villages like Rocamadour, one of the top tourist destinations in France. French countryside grounded in beauty, history, and speaks to your spirit and soul. In this container of care, comfort and connection, we’ll hold the space for intention, explore how to align and honor our higher purpose, and transmute our lives to evolve to match our values. The sacred land gives way for self expression where your surroundings become familiar even if you’ve never been there. Each time you blink, you’re astounded by the beauty. Utilizing yoga, nourishing food, essential oils, the country around us, and our own bodies, mind, and spirit, we’ll explore each day of different aspects of the sacred self and community, nurturing and sensual sides, but also the courageous, explorative, luxurious, outcast parts of our own psyches.
Beginners are as welcome as experienced yogis. Our purpose is to uncover the next layer, whatever that might be, and to live in joy, connection, amusement and insight.
We’ll gather with intention for ceremony and higher purpose.
We’ll experience the beauty of the South of France and learn about local and cultural traditions.
You’ll walk away with a greater connection to your higher self, clarity, relaxation, focus, and a deep connection to mother nature.
All this with daily Kundalini and Hatha yoga, silent walking meditations, delicious farm to table foods with local wines, plus day trips to medieval villages, caves, and farmer’s markets.
All nourished under the hospitality of Mas de Garrigue’s warmth and your hosts, Jan and Ramona.
“Here, I’ve ceased wishing myself elsewhere.”

Location
Mas de Garrigue
Mas de Garrigue is a stunning 15th century former hunting lodge and fortified farm, with many original features; vast stone fireplaces, arrow slits, 15th century windows, stone sinks, and magnificent oak beams, all lovingly and respectively restored.
Owners Sarah and Steve provide warm Irish hospitality; their passion for food and wine are reflected in sumptuous meals of homegrown and locally sourced produce with herbs and vegetables picked daily from the garden.
Each room is gorgeously appointed with local antiques, crisply pressed linen sheets, and the sweet quiet that comes with living in the French. All of our bedrooms are tastefully and luxuriously decorated.
The beautiful French cane beds are Super King (200x180) with deluxe mattresses. The sheets are crisp white pure Egyptian cotton of the highest quality. Honeycomb cotton blankets in summer and hypoallergenic duvets for cooler nights. The pillows generous and fluffy. One guest likened the beds to "sleeping on a cloud, a dream"
The en-suite bathrooms are equipped with sumptuous rich cotton bath sheets, hand towels and facecloths.
Mas de Garrigue is ideally located for visiting the stunning unspoiled Lot region and the treasures of the neighbouring regions - the Dordogne, Cantal, Correze, Aveyron, Tarn et Garonne, Lot et Garonne.
This former fortified farm and hunting lodge, in a tiny hamlet in the Lot region of the Midi Pyrenees, is also blessed with a beautiful setting - lawns, terraces, gentle green views, a big tranquil pool - and no shortage of fascinating places to see before returning to full-on luxury: the prehistoric Pech Merle caves, the hilltop village of St Cirq Lapopie, local markets glistening with fresh produce.

Meet the Teachers
Jan Scott
Jan Scott teaches heart-centered Hatha yoga and is a Spiritual Bathing practitioner.
Her internationally loved classes are a fusion of pranayama, asana flow, the Sutras, mudras and core work with a good bit of laughter and a whole lot of gratitude. By guiding students to their authentic strength and divine open-heartedness, this practice can open the heart to a sacred state of awareness and grace, and move us towards alignment with our true selves and our interconnectedness with all living things.
Ramona
Ramona (Jiwan Dev) utilizes Kundalini Yoga and sound healing to raise the frequency of consciousness for the beginning and advanced meditator alike. Classically trained in piano, her understanding of music theory gives way to a unique sound experience that’s a balance of the linear and non-linear. Before she became a yogi, Jiwan Dev owned an agency in NYC and lived a completely different life. Her ability to truly understand the many challenges associated with the western ways instills an honest understanding for the modern-day yogi and soul seeker.
Ramona offers kundalini yoga, guided meditation, sound healing, cacao ceremonies, and energy healing to the LA and OC areas, NYC, and worldwide.
“Aloha!
I love your class, I really appreciate how much time you put in, with a theme each week, and
the messages are amazing! I feel so good when I leave your class, I wish I could start
everyday that way. ”
“Jan, you have such a kind, giving spirit. Your empathy and compassion for others is so obvious in all you do. I love your yoga!”
“Our Daily Hatha yoga class (with chanting and words of wisdom from the beautiful Jan) was exactly what we needed to relax on a busy day! The silent meditative walk was especially moving.”
“In the woods too, a man casts off his years and what period soever of
life, is always a child. Within these plantations of God, decorum and
sanctity reign, and the guest sees not how he should tire of them in a
thousand years.
In the woods, we return to reason and faith. Standing on the bare
ground, my head bathed by the blithe air, and uplifted into infinite
space, the currents of the Universal Being circulate through me, I am
part or particle of God.
